Pathetic Travelground

So we have been advertising with Travelground for some years. We are a registered Nature Reserve called Thaba Thabo. So as a nature reserve, tourism is our main business. For five years the business has been in the market for sale. Today the smart people at Travelground saw that it is for sale and then deleted our listing with them!! Who is the VERY SMART person or people at Travelground who thought of that IDIOTIC rule..... to not list a business when it is for sale? Really? The BUSINESS is for sale! What on earth does that have to do with you and the clients that already booked??? What does it have to do with you who the owner is and if ownership changes??? So a word of warning to other people..... this is how Travelground does business. Also, guests may insult an establishment as they want but Travelground decides how you may or may not reply to the guests' insults. So good riddance! I will NEVER advise advertising with Travelground! Dianke Endrich, please also make sure your very smart directors see this.

As expected Travelground did NOT handle the complaint at all. It proves my point that they have ZERO respect for their hosts. Kate Gibbons who is Head of Establishments and Content sent me an email asking for a number where she can contact me. I explained to her that I am in a very remote area without cellular reception and asked her to please discuss via email. Since then I have heard nothing from her at all. I guess it is just too much effort.... So I stand by my opinion that Travelground & Lekkeslaap are disrespectful and feel nothing for their hosts. It is clear to me that they do not understand that without hosts they do not have a business! All they have then is a useless website. So I strongly suggest that hosts rather advertise with other companies who do actually care and make an effort to maintain good relationships with their hosts.

Wait, the story gets even better.... this Kate Gibbons sent me an email today...... a bit late Katie my girl...... Anyway, she says they would have loved to reinstate our listing but because I did not react to the de listing "nicely" they will not reinstate it. Kate, I do not know what universe you and your "company" live in.... I HAVE NO DESIRE TO LIST MY COMPANY WITH YOU EVER AGAIN. The arrogance is absolutely HILARIOUS for a "company" that has NOTHING ELSE BUT A WEBSITE. I am still trying to figure out if Travelground / Lekkeslaap is a circus or if it is only the people working for it that are clowns. Albeit, good entertainment!
