Urgent Warning: Unreasonable Policies at Travel and Sport Academic Achievers USA Tour
I am writing to share my profoundly disappointing experience with Travel and Sport's Academic Achievers Tour, urging potential customers to exercise caution due to their unreasonable refund policies.
Over a year ago, on March 2, 2022, I made the difficult decision to cancel a tour for my twin daughters scheduled for September 29, 2022. The reason for the cancellation was significant and valid – my daughter, an avid actress, had earned a lead role in the school play set to participate in the national ATKV Tiener toneel competition. Despite providing this reason and an ample 7 months' notice, Travel and Sport refused to refund the substantial R18,000 deposit, citing their non-refundable policy.
I want to emphasise the financial impact this decision has had on me. Although it has been more than a year since the incident, I am still grappling with the repercussions of the loss. As a single mother with a sole source of income, the R18,000 loss has significantly affected my financial stability.
My daughter's exceptional achievement—winning the award for the most promising talent in the national ATKV Tiener toneel competition—only magnifies the injustice of Travel and Sport's refusal to reconsider their stance. Despite my requests for transparency and proof of incurred costs, Travel and Sport remained uncooperative, leaving me in a state of frustration and financial distress.
It is essential for potential customers to be aware of the long-term consequences of dealing with Travel and Sport. The lack of empathy, unresponsiveness to customer concerns, and inflexible policies have left me struggling financially, even after more than a year.
In conclusion, I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others. Exercise extreme caution before engaging in any financial transactions with Travel and Sport Academic Achievers Tour. Their policies can have lasting financial implications, and my sincere hope is that no one else experiences the hardship and frustration that I have endured.
