I signed my son up for an Rugby tour to Dubai with Travel and sport last year. The trip was planned for Dec 2020.
I paid three amounts total of R33,000. I cancelled the trip due to Carona virus. The confirmed on email they would refund R33,000. Today week I received a R33,000 voucher for travel with them in the next 24 month. I want my refund in cash as promised, and i cannot be force to take a trip which i did not plan for. Their consultant has been rude and telling us that they can change the policy and procedure as and when the want. Is this a way big organisation deal with poor people whom i trusted when i paid the R33,00 for my son trip.
All i want is the cash refund, not a voucher

Travel and Sport forcing traveling voucher to me, while paying other with the same situation their cash refund.
Can someone from Travel and Sport explain, why their refund system/process is selective to some people. I have notice that they have refund some parents whom they told they will receive vouchers instead of cash. They keep on telling me this is Industry Standard, so the question is: Is their industry Standard apply to some parents?
I have tried to plea with Travel and Sport to pay my cash and also explain that i have comorbidities i cannot travel during this pandemic even if i accept their voucher.
Their rude representative went mute on me after i have forwarded her email confirmation from one of their representative confirming that we will get our refund. Can someone lookup definition of refund. Cash refunded for service not rendered.
This is the worst company with rude representative, i cannot believe i trusted this company with my son life and my cash also. I wish i knew their reputation before i give them R33,000.

When i asked if the money will accumulate interest and of how much, they went mute on me.
The one minutes they will refund in form of a voucher which must be used within 24 months, the next thing they will refund cash refund but only after 24, which they don't even confirm if it will accumulate interest. What i know is what you can pay with R33,000 today in 2020, will not be the same in 2022.
Can some balance me, am lost for words.

20 Oct 2020, 10:55Please note that the cash refund after 24 months will only come into effect if you choose not to utilise your voucher for travel within those 24 months. Therefore, you can already make use of the value of the voucher and continue to do so with multiple bookings throughout the 24 month period.
