Lesotho Day Trip - 2 August 2025

AMAZING! Thank you for *also* being open to feedback. Having worked in the tourism service industry myself in South Africa and abroad, I can say I have high expectations and no expectations simultaneously. Travel arrangements are very complex. Anything can go wrong at any time but similarly, everything could go RIGHT - which it did from the moment I booked my trip with Travel Generation.

Having followed their Instagram page for some time, I finally reached out to ask some questions via DM. This was a few months before I had planned to travel, and they were responsive and answered every question.

When I finally renewed my passport, it was time to make a decision about which tour operator I would consider for this trip. Travel Generation stood out due to their high professionalism from the onset. This time I reached out on Whatsapp and locked in my first date, which was the 26 July 2025. As it got closer to the date, I started to realise that due to personal commitments, I might not be able to make it on the 26 July so I reached out again and asked if it was possible to change the date of my travel (I thought I would lose my deposit here) and easy as 1,2,3 Travel Generation got back to me, gave me alternative dates and the option to book another trip instead. That kind of prompt problem-solving service was truly impressive for me!

Finally, we got closer to 2 August 2025 and I was added to communication groups, where we were given regular updates, sent itineraries and all the necessities for this trip. I loved that I didn’t have to think of anything, Travel Generation was already 5 steps ahead, which brings peace of mind when planning and booking.

I had brief interactions with the hosts on this trip, and all were fantastic! I would like to mention Tristan by name, the host with the most who piloted my bus for the day. Thank you for your humour, knowledge and patience. You really brought this trip together! To our driver, thank you so much! Those mountain terrains are tricky, and you handled every corner twist and turn brilliantly. And of course the dark and long roads. Just WOW!
