Extremely Arrogant & Rude treanment from Owner

<p>This past Saturday, 15 October 2016 at around 1.15pm, I went to purchase 2 pasta take aways for my mother, who hadn't been eating much due to depression. </p> <p>I walked into Trattoria Napoli in Fish hoek and went straight to the counter where I was greater by a staff member. He asked if I was sitting down or take away. I said take away & he gave me their menu to decide. </p> <p>Just to describe the setting inside.... there was a counter on the left of me & on he right, with a gap in between for access to & from kitchen area. I stood at the corner to the counter on the right where I had been greeted by the staff member. </p> <p>A few seconds later, someone entered the restaurant and walked towards me (my back facing him as facing staff member behind counter). This guy starts shouting at me saying GET OUT THE WAY, YOU BLOCKING THE ENTRANCE FOR ME TO GET THROUGH. TAKE A SEAT WHILE YOU DECIDING. I rep****, No need to be rude & shout. A simple "would you mind moving out the way please" would be so much better. He rep****, "THIS IS MY RESTAURANT SO I CAN SAY WHAT I WANT. SIT DOWN, I OFFER YOU A SEAT SO SIT DOWN. I rep****, in a very calm tone, No Thank You, I would rather stand, thanks. He seemed to get really upset at this time for not sitting as he was suggesting. He rep****, WHEN I OFFER YOU A SEAT WHILE YOU DECIDE, THEN YOU SIT OR YOU'RE DISRESPECTING ME.</p> <p>I didn't like his tone so I threw his menu on the table & said i would never return to this restaurant due to his extreme rudeness towards a customer. As i turned around and started to walk out his restaurant, the menu fell on the floor. He shouted and grabbed me on my shirt from behind & said, YOU PICK THAT UP, YOU PIECE OF ****. YOU DISRESPECT ME & MY RESTAURANT. Not to cause a scene from me, I picked the menu up and slammed it onto the table, turned around and walked out. He kept swearing & shouting "YOU PIECE OF ****", as I was walking out.</p> <p>THis is by far the worst customer abuse I've ever experienced. This owner has no manners or etiquette towards his customers. I hope he closes down soon coz I am sure I am not the only one who has experienced his wrath.</p> <p>Shortly after this incident, I went to the Fish Hoek Police & laid a charge of assault against hI'm. </p> <p>The case number is available if required.</p>
