Very poor customer service

TransUnion received the info that an account was paid in full from my side. They did not update their system. On attempting to get a new cell phone contract it was denied as i was told i had not paid an account for 8 months. This was not true. The account was closed and had been sorted out in full 8 months before. I was told I then need to submit certified copies of ID and proof of residence and proof the account was paid in full and it would be resolved within 20 days. I sent the info 5 times over a month and only received an sms saying i had not sent in proof of residence, which i had. I called in today to find out the way i had sent it was incorrect, although entirely legitamate. The owner of the house wrote a letter confirming i lived there, it had my name and ID along with both our ID's. It is more than a month now with no reply to my emails and they refuse to accept the proof of residence I sent saying i now need to write an affidavit again signed by police. I feel this is very poor service, i didnt get any response to my emails - the email address they provided me with. They also did not acknowledge i had sent in a proof of residence, only not in the format they needed. They made me wrong and I got defensive by them not acknowledging they did have the proof of residence. All my docs were signed and stamped by police station. They now tell me today at the end of the call my account has been corrected but they wont release the info without the correct proof of residence. I do not think this is acceptable. I feel they need to be explicit about the way they need to receive it if it is a problem done any other way.
