Unresolved Dispute – Incorrect Listing of Prescribed Debt by TransUnion
I am highly dissatisfied with how my dispute has been managed by TransUnion.
On 11 March 2026, I submitted a dispute concerning a prescribed account. After more than 20 days, the account has merely been updated and still reflects on my credit profile.
I have since been informed that the credit provider has “credible evidence” to justify the listing. This is misleading, as no such evidence has been shared with me.
The creditor further alleges that there is a recorded call where I agreed to make payment. I requested this recording as proof, but it has still not been provided.
To clarify:
* The debt is prescribed (older than 3 years). * There has been no payment, acknowledgement of debt, or legal action within that period. * No evidence has been provided to support any alleged acknowledgement.
The continued listing of this account is inaccurate and prejudicial. Should this not be resolved urgently, I will escalate the matter to the National Credit Regulator and the Credit Ombud.
