I received a letter stating that the Trans Union Credit Bureau had given me a credit report, which caused a bank to refuse to give me a credit card. I tried to phone them but, as usual, one cannot speak to a human person, only press a selection of buttons - none of them relevant to my situation. I went online to check my credit record - which I knew would be perfect as I do not have any debt. However, for THAT information, they sent me a receipt for $19-95, which they automatically billed me for after me giving them my credit card information! I am angry as nowhere was there any indication that this information was not available for free but would be costing me this amount.
