Transunion giving out personal information without consent - No POPIA here
Just got a call now from Aiden at RCS asking me if I would like to apply for a loan. He knows my name and everything. I asked where he got my details from, He said Transunion. Why the hell is Transunion giving out personal information to these companies. I thought the POPI act would prevent this from happening. Can someone please send me something where is agreed that they can share my information. Who knows what else they are sharing...

The NCA prescribes when bureaus can access and share consumer credit information, as well as when consumer consent is required. Where POPIA imposes additional requirements over and above the NCA, we ensure that data processed and shared meets all the regulatory requirements.
