TransUnion (TU)and Experian was instructed by the supplier on 1 April to update my profile.
On 2 April I received confirmation from Experian that my profile was updated although I am not even registered with them.
I am a registered user of TransUnion therefore I drew a report on 14 April to make sure my profile has been updated. I paid R80-00 for this report!!!
I discovered with disappointment that my profile was not updated!!
I phoned the number on the TU credit report and after another R20 airtime down the drain, I was given another number to phone.
Fancy messages and music then instructing me to provide my ID and do a voice recognition and I wait...
Eventually Tazlyn answered. I explained my problem and unbelievable I was again asked six questions to verify my identity - taking up time and money while I have just completed it while I waited and waited for someone to answer the phone!
Then she say: we have a backlog. I wanted to speak to her supervisor as I wanted to know what they are going to do about my updating. Holding ..She came back .. I am transfering you to Bongani.
Bongani's phone rep****: Not available. I left my no. No call from Bongani - R70 airtime gone!
