Delaying on updating my credit records

Good day,

I need assistance with regards to clearing up my name at the credit bureau. I had a sport scene account where I had default on payments so I was handed over to their attorney but then I paid up account and got a settlement in January they told me that it would take at least 3 months to clear up name on the credit records but then even today I cannot do anything and it has been more than 7 months. I want to start taking credit again so I can re build my credit record but they make it difficult for me.
