Clearly don't care about the law in this country

So apparently companies are allowed to put prescribed debt on Transunion.... according to Themba from TransUnion...he says I must contact the company and tell them to prescribe the debt....does that even make sense....yet major companies rely on transunion for credit updates that are true and law abiding....yet they allow companies to break the law and that's okay.....so how can our lives be controlled by such a company...there is no way to dispute it ....we must just let ******** companies continue to operate the way they please....why was this law passed....what was the aim and is TransUnion above the law ....someone help
