Caution: TRANSUNION **** OR A HOAX ATTEMPT

BEWARE , I received an e-mail from said company advising of their data breach etc and offering the f f.:

"We are offering a one year subscription of TrueIdentity free of charge. TrueIdentity gives people the information and tools to detect identity-related threats and if need be, a way to get help to recover from them. The TrueIdentity Voucher (details below) must be redeemed before 1 July 2022..." -above an EXTRACT FROM THEIR EMAIL..

I tried their links and couldn't login and even done the resetting options but no further assistance emails was received. Suspecting phishing I called their help lines and established it as genuinely from them however agent sent me another link to verify my self via sms which I completed which included taking photos of my ID and a selfie but to no availe and he failed to be of any further help despite him trying his best..

I suspect the entire process is a **** from them to get one to update their details as perhaps their data breach may have affected their records..

I URGENTLY ADVISE ALL OUT THERE NOT TO RESPOND TO THIEIR hoax or **** LESS THEY ARE INVOLVED IN ID THEFT... PROTECT YOURSELF AND ADVISE FAM , FRIENDS AND EVERY ONE ELSE TO DO LIKEWISE.The only consolation is if any ***** gets perpatuated with my details ,we can take them up legally. There is no further way for me to verify what actually transpired and I regret ever having anything to do with these rogues.
