1 day score is average, I pay up and close an update to date accounr my score drops. Bull****ters I want my score back to where it was

1day ago my score was sitting at Average and nothing has changed in my report apart from settling and paying up my loanfin account and score has gone to below average. Why is that I pay and close an account then my score drops? This is bull****!
