Transfin's termination of Sizwe Hosmed membership without consent

Transparent Financial Services (Transfin) sent a batch e-mail to all SATU members on 14 Nov 2025 with an attached a letter (dated 10 Nov 2025). The letter said that they were moving all members and pensioners to Medihelp Medical Aid with effect from 1 Jan 2026. With effect from 1 Dec 2025, the participation of all members and pensioners in Sizwe Hosmed Medical Scheme will be terminated. In the next paragraph, the letter said that if you wanted to stay with Sizwe Hosmed, they (Transfin) would register you as a direct payment member to Sizwe Hosmed. My mother NEVER RECEIVED this e-mail from Transfin otherwise she would have reacted. On 3 Dec 2025, she received an SMS saying that her Sizwe Hosmed membership will be terminated on 31 Dec 2025. I was shocked, obviously oblivious of the e-mail that Transfin had alledgely sent on 14 Nov 2025. I phoned Sizwe Hosmed who told me that Transfin had instructed them to remove all their SATU members from Sizwe Hosmed. HOW CAN TRANSFIN MAKE THIS DECISION WITHOUT MY MOTHER'S CONSENT? On 4 Dec 2025, I informed Transfin that my mom had decided to continue her membership with Sizwe Hosmed and sent them the debit order form so to be a direct paying member. Transfin notified Sizwe Hosmed on 5 Dec 2025. Ever since, after countless e-mails and phone calls, my mom is WITHOUT A MEDICAL AID in 2026. I am livid with Transfin because their ******* move to instruct Sizwe Hosmed to cancel her membership is the beginning of all this nonsense I have to deal with now.
