Transnet leaves 8 household without water because they did not pay the account

Hi My name is Lindie Exenberger

My Parents rent from Transnet properties and received an outstanding water account of R 758935.85 , this is for 8 properties on the stand where they live. Despite the fact that they always pay there rent and water every month.

Their water was disconnected today , together with 7 other house holds on the Transnet stand.

When I called TRANSNET ( *** at 15:00 this after noon to make inquiry on this matter, I was told that its obvious and that I must call back on Monday because no one can help me.

This leaves 8 house holds with out water this weekend, lots who are retirees, and family’s with kids.

Looking at this amount it looks like they did not pay the water account for some time know.

My Mom is a stroke victim, my dad is also not in good health and what about the rest of the family’s.

I am asking for help I don’t know who to turn to.
