Bad customer service
I was at this business to buy goods as gifts for some of our colleagues (bulk amount) and purchased some items privately. As I do not live near the business (approx. 100km), I only got around to checking my invoice when I got home on the 27th of September.
The cashier accidentally swapped 2 numbers of a product code and I ended up paying for 2 wine glasses (approx. R50) instead of the 2 mini bowls (approx. R15) which I actually purchased. I immediately send them email and asked if it would be possible to refund me.
On the 1st of October I called them to ask if they have received the email. As I only had the name of the lady that assisted with the corporate purchase's name, I asked for her. When I explained my problem, she made it clear, rather rudely, that it was not her job to attend to it and patched be back to the switchboard. When I eventually talked to the 'right' person, she promised to look into it. She asked me whether I could come by and I explained that due to the petrol price and the distance, that it would defeat the purpose. She said that they could do an EFT.
It's been more than a week and another email (no reply) later and no word or anything. Nothing cataclysmic will happen if I am not refunded, but I doubt whether I will support the business in future with customer service such as this. Perhaps consider some customer service training?
