On 7 January I emailed various agencies that acts as Representatives for you at Home Affairs. We needed copies of our unabridged birth certificates. The same day Karin Leferve rep**** that she is able to do this service. Her fee was quite high. Fees + postage of R900 = R8460 for 3 certificates. Her email stated that it would take 15 working days. On 14 January I paid the R8460.

10 February I started to follow up because I didn't hear anything from her. Excuse after excuse. It is now 5 months later and we still have no certificates. I requested a refund and this was also not done. I requested to see the receipt she should have gotten when she submitted our applications at Home Affairs, again I got nothing.

I realized later that she did not provide us with an invoice nor a receipt. I know we aren't the only people that did not get the service that was paid for, another lady in Singapore is in the same boat. Probably also paid almost R3000. I also don't think this "income" is declared to SARS.

I started doing some research on her and found that many people complain about her not paying her bills or doing the services as quoted by her. She works under various websites and emails:

Today is the 29th of June 2021 and I still don't have a refund, proof of application submitted nor copy of certificates....
