Disappointing Attitude Towards Responsible Overlanding and Trash Disposal

While I have not personally travelled with Trans Africa Self Drive Adventures, we arrived at campsites they had just vacated and found trash left behind — including pizza boxes, milk cartons, plastic cups, and cigarette butts — despite a ******* bin being only a few steps away. I emailed the owner, George, requesting that he remind his guests to leave campsites in the same, if not better, condition than they found them, and I stressed the importance of responsible overlanding. His response was unexpectedly aggressive and, frankly, shocking:

Hey Ernesta,

What do you suggest we do with the trash. Take it to Zimbabwe and make it somebody else's problem. It's not as if we littered it all over the place. They must surely have campsite attendants that know how and where to dispose of trash.

I will take up the cigarette bud issue with the responsible person because that is not acceptable.
