Warranty policy *******
I bought a Renault Captur 2016 model last year in June and I was advised that the warranty on the car had expired, I needed to take another warranty and the dealer being Autohaus Scheckter made to the warranty with Traficc company. Upon taking the policy I was not advised that if the car was previously in a car accident the policy would not pay out. On 5th of October I call Traficc for my car to be towed as i was i advised by Tyger Wheels that there's issues with the both Ball Joints. The car was taken to Renault Benoni and they confirmed the damage was caused by an accident from the previous owner. Every day i had to call Traficc to follow and the service agent advised that they wouldn't pay because the damage was due to the accident, however the matter was escalated to the managers. Only today I was called by the admin lady and she told me that they had initially sold me the wrong product, because the manufacture warranty was valid for 5 years i cant claim from their company i need to claim from Renault the manufacture. She couldn't answer all questions i had as to why did they sell the warranty policy to me when the manufacture one was still active because according to the FAIS legislation this is not allowed. It mean that a lot of customers are being sols duplicate products by these company unknowingly. They still want to offer me a warranty extender while the manufacture one is still active. I have advised them to cancel the policy and refund the money.
