Pro-Rata refund w*******
I bought my wife a used 2013 Renault Clio IV at Eastern Cape Motors on 07 February 2017, and took a service plan of R9383.34 Incl VAT with Traficc. So we decided to sell the car and I cancelled the service plan on the 31st July 2017. Obviously I was expecting some 80% prorata refund since I did not use the service plan and only had it for 5 months. I was shocked to get a bank deposit of R4563.26 which is 48.6% of what I paid. Took it up with the Underwriting Manager Adrian Edens that told me it is for fees and costs that are incurred that can legally be deducted from a non regulated products? This is day light *******. I even told him a purchased a scratches and dents product which cost me R3150 from another supplier, their prorata refund was R2865.17 which is 90.96% of what I paid. I want my money and will not rest until this is sorted. And I want a full breakdown of how this refund was calculated, which will show that we are overcharged on products for the benefit of the administrators and the sellers of the products. I feel I was not treated fairly at all.
