Double debit for change of debit date

I called and asked to change my debit order date to the last day of the month, and was advised that they dont have that option it will then be the 1st which was okay, then the Consultant went on to explain further that I will be double debited for May and June how is this even possible?.

Good day Ms Ngcobo,
Thank you for bringing your query to our attention.
As per our telephonic discussion and your instruction earlier today, we have amended your deduction date from the 25th to the 1st of every month, for the remaining term of your cover.
May 2016 premium due: please note that the premium that was to be deducted on 25 May 2016 was for cover for the month of May, which is thus still due to ensure cover is and remains in force.
June 2016 premium due: the amount to be deducted on the 1st of June, and each month thereafter, is for cover for that particular month.
Thus, the deduction on the 1st of June (the double deduction) is made up of the premium still due for May plus the premium due in advance for June cover. Alternatively, you can instruct us to revert the debit order date to the 25th monthly, which will resolve your double deduction query (one debit on 25th May, the next on 25th June and same date monthly thereafter).
We trust the above clarifies your query. Should you wish to discuss your debit dates further, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards,
TRAFICC
