XENOPHOBIC

I was addressed by a black man who talked to me in a language I didn’t understand. I kindly told him I don’t understand and he mocked and shamed my inability to speak HIS language .As black woman who cannot speak South African languages , I’ve experienced xenophobia many times but I found this to be unacceptable as he was in a working environment - who else has he done this to ? Will he be reprimanded? The supervisor was present ,but in tears I left before I could report him . This man has tarnished the warm and friendly atmosphere the rest of the staff emulated. I won’t be returning to this Traffic department and I won’t be suggesting it to anyone. Demeaning , disrespectful and xenophobic , are the words I can describe my experience at the Goodwood Traffic Department as .
