Selling and transfering of car registration docs

I bought a Corolla in 1997 and haven't had any problem legally with it. I have successfully renewed the license disk over the years and have never came across any challenges.<br> <br> May 2015 a gentleman showed interest to buy this car from me and that's when all the mess started. We discovered that the license disk does not correspond with the engine number. I drove this car for 18 years and I had been stopped through many roadblocks but a problem of this nature has never been brought to my attention. Randfontein traffic department has been sending us from pillar to post to resolve this issue but every single time we do as requested, management always finds a way to counteract what we were previously asked to do. The most recent request from managent was that I need to find proof of payment from the bank that finance me and I did and submitted. I am a retired pensioner with no money and resources but have asked to look for that dealership in Rustenburg that I dont even know if it still exist.<br> <br> Their service is really poor and pathetic. The license disk has expired and accumulating interest since I cannot renew it. I need this sorted out ASAP.
