Road traffic department negligence and *****

I was involved in a hijacking maybe 2 months or so back and in the incident items like my drivers licence were taken. Subsequent to this, I was instructed to go to Langlaagte to have the “******” mark taken off my vehicle to conclude police clearance. Upon getting the the institution at about 10am, I was swiftly told they were closed and had taken in all vehicles for the day. The only way I was going to get my car signed off, would to pay a small fee (over R1000), of which a small portion would be split with the random “runner” and the rest the the officer in charge of signing my vehicle clear of being “******”. This was done.

About a month or so later, I went into a post office in the Norwood area of Johannesburg to have my licence disc renewed. I was promptly told that my renewal was not possible as my car was still “******”. I have the original form with the officers signature as well as proof from the post office showing the cars current status. Now to add insult to injury, I was stopped by a metro policeman and given a fine for not having renewed my disc, even though I attempted to explain this current debacle I find myself in.

Who do I contact regarding this as my attempts to communicate with police officials, relevant members at Langlaagte and any other party seem to be falling on deaf ears now!! This is thievery and negligence!!
