National Traffic Information System (NaTIS) is horribly broken

I went to the Randburg traffic department in Ferndale on Monday to renew my drivers license only to be turned away as I didn't have an appointment. The staff were also very unhelpful when I asked for the website address or if there was another branch I could go to.

A Google search and a few articles later I found the link (https://online.natis.gov.za). Of course it doesn't work correctly and pages fail to load so I tried to call the contact number provided (***). That just rings and goes unanswered until an automated voice notifies you that the number was not answered. I guess we will all just have to drive without licenses going forward.

As a side note, it make things 'easier' you have to also book and appointment with an optometrist as they no longer offer eye testing on-site nor will they provide you any forms to fill in (those will now have to be printed from theirs website). So for the millions who don't have computers or cannot afford to do these things but need a drivers license to do their jobs, such as public servants, they are just out of luck. Bus drivers, delivery guys and more are all going to have a difficult time.
