lucia: please help me

I have recently found out that i have a car of which i dont have one.it shows that i bought a car while i was at school and i went to police station to report it because i have never bought a car and i was given an affidavits to take it to traffic department so thatmy name can be cleared,they say the car own R8000 of which i have never owed a car.at traffic department parys free state i was told that i have to pay that amount 1st then my name will be cleared from that car. I never had a car now do i have to pay for something i have never owned?please help
