Worse traffic department in africa
From 8am this morning im waiting on que at goodwood traffic departament for registration, at the counter they serving dealers that stay more than 30 min, fom 8 this morning till now 10:30 the departament serve on 15 people and that's car dealers , this will never ends , 1 counter only serve the people waiting for registration and 5 counter for licensing... not fair ,,, when will this end ??? Dealers friend and my guy

From 8am this morning im waiting on que at goodwood traffic departament for registration, at the counter they serving dealers that stay more than 30 min, fom 8 this morning till now 10:30 the departament serve on 15 people and that's car dealers , this will never ends , 1 counter only serve the people waiting for registration and 5 counter for licensing... not fair ,,, when will this end ??? On Wednesday I actually had an great experience. It was the luck of the draw, I guess. Got to renew my drivers license in 30min. Side note: I got the drivers screening test done at a optometrist to streamline to process, but apparently they only except that if you fail your eye test at the traffic department. Sounds back-to-front. So, I decided to try get my luck at getting my car transferred of the bank to my name. My 'paid up' papers were incorrect and that was on me. The next day I downloaded the correct papers from my bank app and off I went to the traffic department again. This time a bit of a wait, but that was expected. Now apparently your bank papers need to be signed. I have to admit this has ****ed me off 'n bit. So, I drove to the bank and they tell me it's not necessary to be signed, but they'll stamp all the papers for me. Back to the traffic department I go. Now people, we all know those managers that sits in that back office that need to approve things, but make their employees do the hard uncomfortable stuff, by making them tell me that the papers need a f*cking signature. At this point I could've just gone out and and have a random person sign my paper, waited 10 min and go back inside and have it done. But I not that person. I'm not back-to-front. I have to go back again today and finalize it, but I'll go somewhere else. One day was expected, but not three. They were unnecessary and waisted a person time. My experience tells me that that you push for dishonesty, and I won't stand for it.

Abandoned vehicle report to Traffic Service brings no relief
On 15 March 2026 we woke to an abandoned vehicle left right infront of my house next to my driveway in Townsend Estate, Goodwood. No registration numbers, No lisence disc & even the car name is no longer visible due to the bad condition of the vehicle. I've reported the vehicle 5 times between 18 March - 14 April 2026 telephonically to law enforcement and traffic emergency services and send two emails to report same. I was given several reference numbers but to no avail. Very dissappointing as a tax payer! Should I sell the vehicle, make more calls or just let it be my new view when I open my front door.

Bad service
The service is horrible, they changed the system to a ticket queue system and if you are renewing your car license you need to wait very long in the ticket queue system. Before they had one or two tellers only servicing Car License Renewal, but not anymore. Now you wait for the long car registration ect. before being assisted. The service has changed for the worst. Be prepared to wait an hour or more although the queue is not that long. They need to make a dedicated queue for car renewal license as it was before. Pathetic service.

Bad service
