UNFAIR INSURANCE CLAIM REJECT
On the 08/08/2015 I discovered a leak coming from the roof into my the kitchen, lounge and the dining Room. The problem escalated to extend that my flat started to be flooded and the problem was only resolved on the 11/08 /2015 by the plumber Mr Abner. This resulted in my floor tiles, kitchen cardboards and my walls being clogged by water and damaged . My tiles have since been popping up. The matter was reported to the body corporate agency Trafalgar so that they can notify the Building Insurance (CIA) which they did. In that same note I received an Email from Rubayna Gannie on the 2015/10/15 telling me that insurance has Rejected the claim with the reason that says \damages were not as a result of a sudden and unforeseen occurrence but as a result of over a period of time". I opposed the reject and requested for a review since I knew the damage started after the leaking incidence. I then got an update that Insurers' have agreed to settle only the painting as per the attached quote but the tiles claim still remained rejected. They didn't even mention anything about fixing the cupboards.I found this very unfair and absurd to me as a customer."""
