If I could give several negative points I would. I have tried to solve a prepaid water issue with Trafalgar amicably and have been met with having a phone dropped on me several times, and general rudeness.
Information that I am legally allowed to receive is not forthcoming.
Trafalgar enabled a loan facility agreement with a service provider, without furnishing information to sectional title holders to make a decision on whether or not they wanted to partake in the loan scheme. No Body corporate can enter into a loan agreement on behalf of sectional holders as individuals.
They are trying to get adherence to the contract by stopping access to water, which is a basic human right. The only saving grace at the moment, is that the apartment is empty, however they are stopping our ability to get a tenant to rent the place. Water is required to clean the place. I have on several occasions mentioned that I am willing to pay what is fair once all information is known, and to this end I have reached out to several people in Trafalgar, including the MD Andrew Schaefer, to get this sorted amicably.
Nobody has responded to requests for information and clarity on certain issues. When the leadership of a company fails to act, then you know you have a problem!
We have not been given access to the agreement to see the details, we don't get statements, we are just told to pay for a period between 24-36 months, nobody knows the actual term, I have been given different information by Trafalgar and the service provider, this is how bad it is!
Under no circumstances can access to water be withheld by a party when the consumer is willing and able to pay for the water. This is a human right.
Trafalgar's actions can only be described as ************ and *******. I do believe there are bodies such as the Community Scheme Ombud Service who should be made aware of their practices, and I will be looking into lodge a complaint with them.
Best regards,
