Trafalgar is the pits
I think 1 star is a great rating for a business who deserves none at all. I find myself turning to this platform once again with this business. I have been renting a unit with Trafalgar since 2021. In these years with them I have done my utmost best to report issues with the property on time, pay the rental and municipal charges on time yet I cannot seem to get the cooperation of this agency. Maybe I am at fault to endure and suffer the terrible service they have to offer. In my experience the tenants done mean jack to them. The current issue I am experiencing with Trafalgar is the service delivery, they dont respond to emails and they are hell bent on they are right and the tenant is wrong. So I received my bill at end of Sept for October rent and paid the full amount due. In the following few days I bought electricity and a deduction was made for municipal arrears which should be the landlord's responsibility, and I sent them and *** as this is a norm. 2 weeks ago I receive a letter notifying me of short payment of the rental fees for October and I queried this immediately as I paid the amount in full. They sent me a screenshot of a spreadsheet with all the fees and rent payable but the monies which I needed to be refunded does not add up as well as the descriptions. The exact same deductions as per the statement but according to Trafalgar leaves me in arrears as at the 1st of the month. the math is not math-ing. I have sent them emails and tried calling but I get the same response that the water bill is outstanding when the water bill is included in the statement. After the electricity refund I should be in a credit with them yet I end up in arrears and the portfolio manager who is now probably a month in the position clearly ignores my emails. Since 2021 I have been notifying them of the leaks in the roof, the cracks in the walls that water seeps through when it rains to the extent that I cannot use 1 of the bedrooms during winter. The electricity cutting out because the wires get wet. All this issues came through many agents because agents change at least once a year. I tried to move out in 2025 but the owner contacted me and asked if I can please remain in the unit as I have been taking care of the property and notify of issues (which he has not addressed) and I stayed like a fool. I am just wondering if I should leave how long it will take to refund my deposit if they not even competent enough to tend to the issues I already have. In 2022 the divisional manager at the time contacted me after logging a complaint on this very platform and she advised that if the owner does not address the maintenance issues they will have to relocate me and my family and I was overjoyed as there is someone in trafalgar who could now relate to my problem. After trying to get hold of her again to follow up, I have been advised that she was no longer with Trafalgar. Meaning another dead-end for me.
