Trafalgar

I didn't renew my rental lease with Trafalgar the East London branch and gave them the two months notice that they requested me to give. I was very nice and accommodating to allow possible renters to come look at the flat as often as I was available. I moved out before the end of June and returned the keys to them with the outgoing inspection on 26 June 2025. On 14 August 2025 I received an email from Roelien Els along with a statement saying that they are holding a deposit of R336.96 of mine and that the municipal charges is R351.47 which means that I am not getting a refund. I then rep**** to her and Veronique Peffer and also attached an email between Veronique Peffer and myself where Veronique Peffer confirms that they are holding a deposit of R6,190.59 and that the R336.96 was just the increase in deposit that I had to pay when I signed the previous year's lease agreement. So after deducting the R351.47 they still needed to refund me a total of R5,839.12 which they can pay into my bank account along with my banking details. Now this morning I received an email from Celesté Schoeman saying that the flat's deposit is an owner held deposit and that she has emailed the owner regarding this and that she will revert back to me as soon as she have received feedback. (I have never heard before that an estate management company gives the deposit to the owner. I thought that the estate management company must put it in a interest bearing account.) I will see what happens from here and adjust my rating accordingly and I might add something to my comment. I just hope that they do the right thing as the other comments on here about them doesn't look good at all.
