Trafalgar

Having been in a dispute with trafalgar for over 3 years (because they charged ridiculous and baseless penalty charges and interest without cause) I eventually agreed to pay a settlement amount just to avoid having to deal with these people for any longer. Amount was agreed and as soon as I paid it, they again levied interest and penalty charges that were outside of the settlement agreement.

(Report edited by Hellopeter.com)

Hello SeanCHart,

Trafalgar are registered debt collectors and all interest and penalty charges are automatically raised by a computer information system in line with levy or rental account arrears and the applicable legislation. The Council for Debt Collectors are positioned as the regulatory body for any complaints associated with debt collection fees and a complaint for independent adjudication and a binding ruling should be lodged with them. The relevant details can be found online at: www.cfdc.org.za/. The relevant contact number is ***.
