No accountability for complex maintenance

There has not been any pest control done at the town house complex (Troy complex) where I live since December 2014. I cannot get a proper answer from the Managing agent Anita De Wet as everything is referred to the body corporate who in 3 full months have also not answered this query as I first brought this up at the AGM in October 2015. The body corporate want to have the person who is employed as the gardener do the pest control. By law this is not allowed as this is a densely populated area and the person doing the pest control needs to have the relevant qualification to use the poisons, I even went as far as to include a copy of the Government Gazett where this is outlined - that email is dated 2 December 2015. I have at least 5 ant nests in the foundation of my unit and I know for a fact that the insurance company will not cover damages caused by pests. I have been more than patient regarding this and I have now reached the end of my tether. I have given deadlines that have been missed. I want answers!! I expect that pest control is done once a quarter at least. (emails available on request)

Hello Megg011980,

Trafalgar places a top priority on client service excellence and will make every effort to rectify your concerns as quickly and effectively as possible.

That being said you must please remember that Trafalgar is just an agent and cannot do maintenance / pest control. That is the responsibility of the Trustees; we can arrange it for them but only on their instruction.

I will however ask the Branch Manager - Adele Olivier - to investigate and contact you in this regard.

Kind regards
