Lazy and ***********

These people are *********** and lazy. I live in a sectional title block of flats and I have had a leak in my flat for 3 days, even though I emailed (and called) and informed them of it on day 1 and they told me there's a 24hr turnaround time. Pfft. They will immediately try and avoid any responsibility by claiming "Please note this is not a body Corporate matter this is a leak between two units which means you and the owner above would need to liaise directly with each other." (are you SERIOUS??? I, who has no authority, must go around asking people who live in your sectional title to deal with this?)Then they conflictingly end the email with "the only time the Body Corporate and Trustees will get involved is if the plumbers report confirms that the pipe belongs to the body corporate." They have not even got a plumber in to confirm this; there is no plumbers report. So they don't know that this is not their responsibility, they just want to absolve themselves right from the get go. Keep in mind, this is an external pipe leak from the main water supply pipe that is coming through my bathroom service panel. No one but body corp should be touching that pipe, therefore it is automatically body corp responsibility.
