INCONSIDERATE MANAGING AGENT-TRAFALGAR

I have an apartment in THE BLUFF(New Development)in Bluff, Wentworth- Durban, managed by TRAFALGAR. I currently have a drain pipe leaking underneath the kitchen sink cupboard. Reported the matter, and I am told its my responsibility since the leaking pipe is inside, or i must directly talk to the Developer. How can i be responsible for a new development defects, why should I liaise with developer at this stage even though complex has managing agent? I really find this inconsiderate.
