Gate issue and no one to contact
This morning at 6:45 I got in my car and was on my way to work until I realized that both the entrance and exit gates are not working. Like an idiot I sat in front of both gates unable to go to work. I have tried calling the after hours emergency maintenance number, but it does not exist.
This is completely unexceptionable. My biggest issue is if there was an emergency or medical situation.. What if a fire brakes out and no one can get in our out of the gate including emergency vehicles
I will be reporting this to the fire department.

13 Jul 2020, 12:31Good afternoon, The Trustees are aware of the problem and have been liaising with the contractor. The Trustees are aware that there is no after hours emergency service. The gate is still under guarantee. Some of the Trustees live at Ascot Mews. There is also a caretaker and a building manager.

13 Jul 2020, 12:59Thanks for the information, but that does not fix the issue at hand and give the guarantee that it wont happen again. Who do we contact if this happens again? How is an ambulance or fire truck going to enter the complex if both gates are not working? Plans need to be put in place to guarantee that a reliable person can be contacted 24/7 in a case like this. There are families with children living at the complex and every variable should be considered and countered with a proactive plan of emergency.
I have personally spoken to the person who did the installation of the gate, his name is Gary and I can provide his number if needed, but after speaking to him on the morning of the incident, he was of no help at all. He did not offer to come and resolve the problem. Again, a number of a person needs to be provided to all residents of the complex in case of emergencies. You mention a care taker, yes but he is not available 24/7 as he is only at the complex Monday to Friday according to my knowledge...
