DISSAPOINTED! BAD SERVICE FROM TRADEUNIPOINT & TERRIBLE STAY AT DIKOHOLO

Good day Trade Unipoint

We are loyal clients and always book our holiday accommodation through Trade Unipoint.

We were always very happy with booking our accommodation in advance.

We decided to book on last minute on the 27th July for a weekend at Dikhololo for 3 days and we only stayed for 2 days - most terrible experience!

On arrival and book in there was some manager screaming loudly either on a phone / to staff - not professional!!

On book-in to our unit we saw that this was very unsafe to our toddlers (5 and 7 years old). The loft area’s stairs was steep and with wide openings in the wooden rails which is extremely unsafe for small children. we knew that this was not going to work for our needs with smaller children.

I immediately phoned but had to deal with a consultant – Alex who were not sympathetic to our needs at all. We wanted to upgrade and was willing to pay more for a bigger unit. Alex took this matter up with Lizelle Knoesen which is the manager of Trade unipoint. We were not allowed to speak to her directly as this was just after 16:00 on a friday and Lizelle Knoesen was also not very accommodating to our needs and apparently we could not upgrade the unit as this was an owner’s week and they already notified the owner and was going to make payment the following week (we were notified only then and we didn’t know of this before we made the booking?), we wanted to cancel and requested a refund, but we couldn’t as per Alex and Lizelle. We were not going to book another unit and lose the already paid R2000 and also not most certainly going to pay another R2500 for another unit which was required. The lodge also wasn’t willing to listen nor assist in anyway furthermore. We decided to stay and see how it goes, because our kids was begging to stay and we were forced to stay because there was NO REFUND OPTION according to Alex and Lizelle. Really?? We were forced to stay or lose money!

We only stayed 2 nights and not 3 nights of NO- SLEEP that this caused us. On holidays you supposed to sleep well, I mean really? We had to make alternative sleeping arrangements with pertaining to our kids and still couldn’t have a good night’s rest and peaceful time of the below as well.

Also more regarding the unit @ Dikhololo which is supposed to be a top resort!!! Not at all!

Not cleaned properly (there was long strands of black hair in the beds)
The unit didn’t smell cleaned in a long time
Also the unit needs an upgrade – very old linen and not cleaned.
The units are under one roof and it sounded like the neighbours were in our room all the time (NO PRIVACY). We could hear every word they were saying until late evening.

I was so looking forward to this weekend and was so disappointed by this and the way that Trade unipoint has treated us!

Will never go back to Dikhololo and not refer to anyone!

The lodge needs a total re-vamp and most certainly is not a 5 star, but in our opinion a 1 star.
No friendly service – RECEPTION!
Manager screaming loudly and unprofessional at reception

We do frequently book at Mabula & Mabalingwe which are top resorts and will refer these resorts to all because of service, quality and cleanliness!!
