Poor customer service

I received my order and found out that I need to return an item due to ordering the wrong size. I was prompted to pay 15.99 Euros to return the item on the website. I started a chat to ask why I needed to pay them when I was sure that I would be paying at the post office. The person chatting kept playing with words and then left the chat. How rude is that?
