BEWARE OF EXTRA COSTS AND DELAYS WHEN BUYING FROM TREKKINN/TRADEINN

I ordered an item from the Trekkinn web page which I took to be the South African department of Tradeinn. The item was advertised as ‘In stock’ and delivery was promised within 3 to 6 days so I assumed it was coming from a local depot.

The item ended up costing me 78% as much again as the advertised price and delivery took almost three weeks, although much of this delay was the fault of the courier company.

The item I bought was shipped from Spain (although it was made in China) and so in addition to significant courier charges I had to pay an international money transfer fee, a brokerage administration charge, a disbur*****t fee, customs duty and customs VAT.

I wrote a review along these lines for the Tekkinn web page but so far it has not been published…
