Worse customer service ever. Shame on you.
Worse service ever!!!!
I have been with tracker for more than 5 years paid all my debit orders never missed an installment but guess what that does not matter to them at all it is all about getting the money from your account.
For the last month and a half I have been having some issues with the battery on my car where something was draining it and in the mornings i could not get it to start, I had gaurantee on the battery but was challenged with this Lockdown issue where the Battery Centre was closed.
The however opened on Level 4 and I was fortunate to get their assistance as always there provided the best customer service by taking the battery and borrowing me another one for a day they called me and asked to come in with the car to do some tests. There was nothing wrong with my battery there was something draining the battery on my car. I went to an auto electrician that ran diagnostics on the car and he confirmed that he tested everything on the car the only thing left that was the tracking device and for that I need to call tracker for assistance. I called them on Monday 4 May 3 days later I recieved a call from a technician and we arranged to meet at my place on Saturday 9 May at 11. I waited for the guy at 11 at 11:30 I phoned him just to find out if he forgot or what cause I had to go to town and he did not even phone to advice that he is running late yes that is the service I got.
Nonetheless he advised he got stuck somewhere and arrived at 11:52 yes 52 minutes after the original appointment time. He proceded with his testing and this is where the rubber hits the road, he tested that the current draw on the car was 0.23amps if the fuse where the device was on was removed and with the fuse connected 0.28 amps which to me was news to my ear as I dont understand the terminology. He advised that the devise only used 0.01amps from the battery and concluded that it was not the tracker that is faulty, as he was wrapping up I requested him to do a final test so that I can understand how the whole thing works. When he wrapped up the entire readings changed from 0.23 amps the reading was now 0.04 when the fuse was disconnected and 0.09 when he connected it total change nothing was done he advised that it might have been his multimeter that was not placed correctly on the battery but heres the thing he already called the lady from tracker to give her the first readings he did not call her back to update this new findings yes thats what happened still dont understand why you would admit to your error and set things right in front of the customer but its not about the customer but the callout fee. I requested him to move the device somewhere else as that fuse was an issue I will get it sorted out but for now i will remove the fuse just so that the battery does not drain. He went behind closed doors made the ammendments and came back confirming that his device is no longer on that fuse I removed the fuse and when online to check the device picked up online and all was good with the fuse out.
I went to town to buy some essentials and recieved 2 battery disconnect sms's yes this is what happened. After coming back from town I phoned tracker to explain that I still have an issue with the device and guess what the consultant confirmed that its not aligned my car was idling but it said battery disonnect and the status was stopped she could see that the voltage on the battery was above 13 which suggested that the battery was not the issue and she escalated it to support. All calls are recorded you can pull the recording for your reference. Support phoned me on Sunday making me a stupid by suggesting the terminals might be loose whereas the terminals was connected by tracker technician and he now after the whole nonsense wants me to send a permit to get a technician to come out. The call cut he never phoned back even till now I phoned tracker again and guess what he updated it on the system the customer does not have a permit and thats it. Monday a day later I recieved a bill for 600 no need for a permit to debit my account no issues to get hold of me when you want money but guess what the device is still says battery disconnect and the statusses on the car is still wrong but i must pay 600 for what I dont know but one thing i can confirm is that it is not about customer service but the money.
Worse company ever you must look at the model takealot is using they focus kn customers not money hence they are no 1 is SA. Im dissapointed in Tracker seriously after 5 years this is what I get. Shame on you.
