On 24 Oct I received an sms from Tracker saying that they did not receive a response on my tracking unit after conducting a remote test. I called the number on the sms and was informed a Tracker technician would call to arrange for a suitable time and place to test the unit. 5 days later, Kenneth called at 6am, and we agreed for 11am the following day. He didn't pitch nor contact me. On 5 Nov, I called again and was informed a different Technician would call and make arrangements with me. Nothings happened and it's now 15 Nov. At 08:20 this morning I called Trackers call center and spoke to Whitney who then liaised with the Durban branch. Tanya promised me that Trevor will definitely come by today to fix my unit. At 16:10 I called again to a very unhelpful and arrogant guy from their fault reporting department who couldn't even sympathise or apologise for the appalling service I've received, let alone time and airtime I've wasted thanks to their incompetence and empty promises. I called again today and spoke to Tanya from the Durban branch who eventually said I'll definitely have my unit sorted by Monday, to which I told her that's unacceptable, especially since she had promised this morning that someone would come by end of business today. She was then miraculously able to organise someone for tomorrow. Whether this Rowan pitches tomorrow or not we'll have to see, this well could be one of their many empty promises. It's been 3 weeks since I've requested help to no avail from Tracker whilst driving a high risk car without a functioning unit. If this is what they do for a simple check up/ service, I am not interested in finding out what they do when a car actually gets ****** - good luck to anyone who is brave/ stupid enough to trust Tracker.
