Tracker SA failed to remove the tracking unit from sold vehicle despite numerous requests

I have sold my vehicle, Polo Vivo, 1.4 Trendline to Citton Cars Dealership in Gezina last year on 29 November 2023. I immediately notified Tracker about that via email, and they responded with a reference number for the logged call promising to act on my request. Since then, I kept on getting notifications from Tracker including telephone calls late at night or early in the morning about the sold vehicle. I wrote several emails to them every time I get these calls and / or SMS notifications telling them to please stop notifying me about the status of the vehicle as it was sold in vain.

This morning, 9 June 2024, I received a call from my brother stating that he was woken up by Tracker Emergency informing him that the sold vehicle is entering the boarder. He then contacted me and also woke me up about the call and was very upset.

The worst part is that on my mobile phone, I also received an SMS today, 9 June 2024 from Tracker about the emergency notice. This is what the SMS message says, open quote " Tracker: we have attempted to contact you regarding the safety of your vehicle KD51TRGP (Vehicle Sold). If you require assistance, please call ***" Closed Quote.

You will note that within the same message after the registration number, they even wrote " Vehicle Sold" as proof that they know that it was sold as per my messages in November 2023, but why do they still phone me to notify me about the status of the sold vehicle? Why do they even phone me in extreme awkward times including my brother? I warned them before about reporting this worst service to Hello peter in vain.

The following dates reflect dates of my email correspondences to Tracker notifying them about removal and cancellation against my name with reference numbers that they issued:

1) 29 November 2023 - Thank you for your email. Your work item number is ***7. 2) 12 December 2023 - Thank you for your email. Your work item number is ***2. 3) 8 January 2024 - Thank you for your email. Your work item number is ***5. 4) 26 March 2024 - Thank you for your email. Your work item number is ***8, and also work item number is ***2.

The following email was sent to Tracker again on 26 March 2024:

Good evening

I keep on getting notifications about the above-mentioned vehicle via SMS on my phone. SEE ATTACHED PROOF...

This is really irritating me as I had sold this car to a dealership last year, 2023 in November as well as notified your company about the same.

I really do not know as to how many times must I notify or remind your company to please stop sending me SMS notifications about this vehicle in vain.

Your failure to rectify this situation would leave me with no option but to escalate this to social media as well as Hello Peter and may be that is the type of language that you understand as a company.

Now, for the last time, please stop notifying me about this vehicle as it no longer belongs to me as per my previous numerous requests.

If I get one more notification from now going forward, I will act very swiftly and expose your company for failure to rectify this. I have proof of emails dating as far back as last year notifying you about this matter. I am sick and tired of wasting my valuable time writing to you about the same thing over and over again.

Hope you will immediately rectify this situation.

Regards

Richard Aphane

Now, I continued to get calls and notifications via SMS from Tracker on the following dates despite the above email dated 26 March 2024:

- 9 May 2024 at 13 :38 pm - 10 May 2024: Two notifications at 07:42 am and 15:01 pm. - 9 June 2024: Two notifications at 07:25am and 07:35 am

I then received a call from my brother today, 9 June 2024 telling me that Tracker phoned him about the vehicle, and he was still sleeping when he got the call .

I was very upset and irritated by that as I was also still sleeping, and then decided to phone Tracker about this, and they repeated the same message that I should call their support tomorrow, Monday, 10 June 2024 something that I have been doing since 29 November 2023 in vain.

Please assist urgently on this as I am sick and tired of this pathetic service.
