Tracker Sa / charging clients for stuff they caused/broke

Okay , so one day tracker phoned me... After about 20mins on phoned we completed a contract and the technician will come to install device.

After a few days tracker contacted me to setup an appointment to come install the device. We agreed on a saturday.

So Saturday morning came, tracker contacted me early the morning telling me the technician is on his way, after about about 20 minutes tracker phoned again telling me that the technician was in an accident , so we scheduled a new time for later that afternoon. Around 15h00 the tech arrived and took around 2 hours to install device. I signed his slip and he left, the vehicle was standing halfway in the garage and i moved it further in sal i could close the garage door, it is at that moment i noticed that the headlights of the vehicle (2013 ford ranger bakkie) doesn’t work and it worked before technician work on the vehicle. I phoned the tech to comeback to fix this issue, he came back, pulled out all the fuses and back, this didn’t solve the headlights. I told him i will call tracker and monday i tell that the vehicle lights dont work anymore after the tech installed the device. So he left.

Monday came, so i contacted tracker. Spoke to a lady and she took all the required details with the jobcard number ,said some will contacts me, she didn’t give me any reference number, so a few days went by and i contacted tracker again , same story, spoke to a lady ,she took my details and said someone from tracker will contact me. No reference again, a few days past again...

It is at this stage i decided to try emailing tracker. So i emailed tracker with all the details as mentioned above. This also did not reach any reaction or help from tracker.

I then decided to post something on tracker’s facebook page... the next morning tracker phoned me. Asking how they can be of assistance ,i explained the whole story again as above, and the man took my details and said tracker will contact me to setup an appointment to see what wrong with the vehicles lights. I said the the person over the phone his welcome to send someone, but please take note that the fault was caused during the installation of the device as the lights used to work before the installation so i wont pay any additional fees tracker would charge sending out to access whats wrong. Its obvious what caused the lights to not work anymore.

A few days past and a technician came out one afternoon to fix the lights, but he could still not manage to fix it.

Another week went by and i received my first invoice from Tracker ,charging me an extra R550 to access to vehicle’s light that tracker broke in the first place...

Now this is where i have a problem “as a business owner myself” , “how can you charge someone money for a problem you caused in the first place” that is just *****ing money from customers and ********* work conduct!!!!

To give you an example “I’m in a glass business and decide to take a rock and throw it threw clients windows this breaking the glass and then charge the client to fix the window”. Thats basically what tracker did to me.

I hope this message gets to the right people and i await your phone call to rectify this ISSUE ASAP!!
