Tracker refusing to replace faulty unit!!!
My unit in the car does not display the km travel correctly, it is always lower than the actual units. I have complain about this a month ago, as the logbook is incorrect and cannot be used for SARS. The log book showed that I travelled more than 300km in 20 minutes, because they only updated the kms This also impacts my insurance. I requested tracker to replace but they refused. Yesterday I a compliant again that they refused. their solution is, i must call them and they will update the KM, but they will not replace the unit. They suggest I enter into a new 3 year contract to get a new unit? I unable to speak to technical directly as thye dont take calls.

09 Apr 2025, 12:09Yes you did report back, but the problem is not resolved. I rep**** by email sending a photo of the actual KM vs the KM on the App. The app is under reporting. When you are updating the KM on your side, the problem will not resolved. It will mean that I have call Tracker monthly to provide them with the actual KM, so that you can update it? The unit is not function properly and appears not to be fit for purpose.

It took. Hopfullly, future problems will be resolved j in a similar manner that it was resolved since Thursday last week. It appears that they are capable people at Tracker that can resolve issues, it’s just so hard to get hold of them as it took me more a month and a half to get to somebody that was able to resolve the matter in this manner. I hope the will improve the services as I still believe it is the best solution currently on the market.
