Tracker Connect is a joke

My experience with Tracker has been pleasant up until recently when I had to cancel my “contract” due to my car being written off. I called them to assist and was told that the cancellation department is quite busy so they’ll call me back. It took a week for the call to be returned only for me to be told that I must pay R1600 for the cancellation. This is because I’m in a 36 month contract with them. This “contract” was shared verbally without any supporting documentation stipulating all the terms and conditions. I’ve searched all the emails shared by them and their digital platforms and there is no mention of this penalty fee. My utter annoyance with this whole situation is that my cancellation is due to my car being written off. The car no longer exists meaning that the tracking device is not in use. How am I charged for cancelling a contract for a device that is not in use? I would’ve chosen to make a transfer to a new vehicle however their consultants are rude and condescending. I cannot subject myself to horrible service provision and I urge you, reading this right now, to not put yourself through it as well. Tracker Connect has bad service and they rob you of your money. Imagine how you’ll be treated when your car goes missing.
