Just bought a new vehicle, which is on my name. The vehicle is with my son in NW Province. Our Tracker account is on my husband's name. My husband requested installation of tracker for the new vehicle. Installation was supposed to take place last week. Time was arranged to coincide with my son's break time at work, as he is not available otherwise. The installer arrived late. When he eventually arrived at security, he did not phine my son as requested or even asked the security to do so, he just turned around and left. He was then contacted by my huband. He went to where the vehicle is, but did not instal, due to cellphone towers being down. A new appointment was scheduled for today. My son phoned me 2 hours after the appointment time to say that the installer did not arrive and have not heard anything. Both my son and I tried to phone Tracker for feedback, but they refuse to speak to us about this as we are not authorized. Lets highlight again that this is MY car on MY name and the appointment was with my son (his number and details were supp**** for the appointment). We tried to reach my husband, but being a policeman, he was on duty at an active crime scene and was not able to speak to us or to Tracker, for that matter. I do not see how me enquiring about a missed appointment is some kind of security breach, that nobody is able to give me info and sort this issue out, especially considering the unit is not even installed or active yet. We are trying to do business with Tracker, but it seems they might prefer us to take our business elsewhere. In the mean time this is costing us a fortune in insurance premiums for a vehicle without a tracking unit. We cannot wait much longer and will most likely have to pull the plug and go with another company - someone that can actually keep to an appointment.
