Tracker cancellation fee dont recall agreeing to this.

Today I called Tracker to cancel my tracker as I have sold my car. I was told I needed to pay R1,200 for cancelling in year 2 of my contract. I do not recall agreeing to a 36 month contract. I asked to see a copy of my contract and was told they need to retrieve my telephnic conversation s their contracts was not written down. Convenient if you ask me. I was told it would take 14 to 21 days to retrieve the info and that they are very busy. I hope they are going to back date my cancellation request. Lets wait and see
