Tracker

Imagine paying for a product and service just to find out that it is non existent! Here I have been traveling around KZN with a Tracker key fob on my key ring, feeling confident that during any emergency, I could separate the two (vehicle key and key fob) and that I would be rescued by Tracker.

The product was sold to us with this major safety factor. He moment the vehicle and fob gets separated, the connection lost between Tracker unit in vehicle and key fob, a signal is sent to Tracker.

So imagine my surprise when I realize on Saturday morning that the body shop where my vehicle has been for repairs had somehow separated the key fob and key...........And that there had been NOBODY from Tracker getting in contact with me for over 24 hours!!

So when I contact the call center to express my dismay and shock, I am advised of the following:

A. The unit in my vehicle is working B. “Perhaps the battery in the fob is not and should be checked (would work if I had the damn thing and also if that was indeed the case then surely the connection would be broken between unit and fob which would raise an alarm regardless). C. My husband did not tick the “send updates”block otherwise we would have been contacted for new products (seriously) D. The system isn’t my vehicle is outdated and they (Tracker) has better technology on the market E. We should not focus on what has happened but move forward as to how we can resolve this matter by updating the Tracker for my vehicle.

Well here’s the thing Tracker..........***** you.

How many clients do you have driving around in this country feeling absolutely safe because they have invested in a security product that might not even be functional?

I hope that if you have a Tracker key fob that you test it. You cannot depend on it nor the company. #trackerconnect

I hope you get your ass dragged into court if anything happens to a customer because of your useless key fob technology.
