Stuck with faulty unit that is compromising my car

My Jeep Wrangler is experiencing an electrical issue with my battery draining . After having the car towed and inspected by an Auto Electrician and then by an Electronic Auto Electrician (all at my expense) I was informed that the Tracking Unit is draining the battery (new battery put in also at my expense). I contacted Tracker and was informed I will have to pay an amount of around R400 to have the unit removed. The unit has been deactivated for some time now. I do not think its correct to pay Tracker to remove there faulty unit from the car.
